Physio or physical therapy is a medical branch that combines several rehabilitation and recovery methods as prevention, treatments, sport, diagnose, emotional balance, so it is a very complex medical field that will develop. The person that practices physio is called physiotherapist and has a huge responsibility. Physio involves the collaboration of a physiotherapist with other specialists in order to have the best results for the patients and to cure them or to make them feel better. Those who practice physio have to be very patient with those who need a treatment. Usually, physio treats the disabled people and those who had accidents or who were born with physical disabilities. So, physio treats people that are not able anymore to do their daily activities and some of them cannot even walk anymore, so it is very difficult to cure these people.
Physio specialists cure from babies to old people, so it is very hard for them to deal with certain age categories, but a physiotherapist has to be very responsible and to pay attention as a small mistake can affect someone’s life. Physio has many areas as pediatric, sports, pulmonary, cardio, geriatric and also an area dedicated to pregnant women, or to those that gave birth and is also very useful for post partum when some women are confronted with stress, depression and are going through a difficult moment in their life.
Massage and hydrotherapy are one of the techniques used for curing people or for improving their health. All these patients have health problems and it may be very difficult to socialize with as they suffer from depression, thinking their life is over, they are useless, so physio specialists have to be very patient and to try to understand these people. Physio is a very difficult medical field, but there can also be great results that will be a joy both for doctors, but also for patients. The studies for becoming a physio specialist are different depending on the country, but the responsibilities remain almost the same. This field has began since ancient times, but developed and continued until now.
