The term “physio” actually comes from physiotherapy, which is a health profession which brings together physical, psychological, emotional and social treatments. Physio has become an important branch of medicine, as it one of the most significant parts in the recovery of patients.

Physio is helpful particularly to athletes, because due to intense workouts and trainings they often suffer tears in their muscles and bone ruptures. Physio is the branch that helps them recover, after a medical exam, x-rays and scans. Physio is performed by physical therapists, who diagnose and treat not only athletes, but also people of all ages who suffer from physical problems. He has to be responsible and observant in order to gain the patients trust and to find out exactly their medical record.
